Captico Web Strategist Profile: Marty Fisher

Marty Fisher is Founder & CEO of Captico LLC. He spends much of his time on projects with clients helping them to develop comprehensive web strategies for their business. Prior to Captico, Marty was the Chief Technology Officer of Revolution Health, where he led the development of revolutionhealth.com, one of the first social networking sites, which changed the way people gather and share healthcare information. Prior to that, Marty was COO of SimoHealth, which was acquired by Revolution in August 2005. Previously, he was president of AOL’s Technology Development division, where he oversaw the development of software and systems across AOL. In this role, Marty managed a team of more than 2,500 employees who developed products and software for AOL members and Internet users worldwide.

Before joining America Online in May 1995, Marty was vice president of Engineering for Medior, Inc., a privately held company based in San Mateo, California. Medior was recognized as a leading developer of interactive media properties, covering a broad range of applications — including entertainment, publishing, education and electronic commerce.

Between 1985 and joining Medior in 1992, Marty was actively involved with multiple start-up companies in Pennsylvania and California. Previously Marty was vice president of Research & Development at Cricket Software. Marty was also with the Software Publishing Corporation and RAD Technologies, where he was responsible for multiple projects on Microsoft Windows and Macintosh platforms, the engineering, quality, marketing and operations of workstation desktop products, as well as having to secure funding to grow RAD Technologies.
